Pottery Barn Personalized McKenna Jewelry Box Review

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a nice weekend. I was trying to come up with some post ideas, and then I thought to myself, I never reviewed my custom jewelry box from Pottery Barn like I wanted to. I bought this jewelry box last year, so I thought it's the perfect time to give my complete review and final thoughts on it.

I purchased the large McKenna jewelry box, in the color, porcelain blue. It comes with a lock and key. I personalized it with my name "Chey" for $15 extra. I chose Garamond, Style 17, so I could spell out my name, not just do initials and only have the first letter capitalized. So worth it to me, as I plan to keep this jewelry box forever.

The Top Level

The top level features a mirror {that I have covered}, 2 long ring/ earring columns, 2 bare side columns and then 2 bracelet/ watch square shaped storage in the center. I have 40 pairs of studs and 10 rings in the columns. 8 longer earrings on the sides; however, I could honesty fit a lot more pairs. Then a gold bracelet, hoops and extra backings in the center.

Below The Lift-Out Tray

Another area for more storage. I have 29 earrings stored down here that are all different shapes and sizes. You could honestly put whatever you want in this section. There is so much space for watches, bracelets, a journal, you name it.

The 3 Drawers

The second level has 3 pull out drawers. One huge one on the left then two on the right. The one on the top right has 3 divided sections while the bottom one is just one huge compartment. On the left I keep my Bond watch, key and note that came with the jewelry box. On the top right, I have bracelets, necklaces, a watch and a bracelet. On the lower right I have my two anklets and my smiley face toe ring. I could still store so much more stuff in all of these drawers. I still need to decide what else to put in them, or I might just leave them for when I buy more accessories.

The Entire Jewelry Box

This is the complete view of the entire opened McKenna jewelry box.

  • Cardboard

  • Bonded Leather

Final Thoughts:

Color/ Print: 10/10

Material: 10/10

Smell: 10/10

Size: 10/10

Shape: 10/10

Hardware: 10/10

Organization: 10/10

I am going to keep my summary short and sweet because as you can see up above, I gave everything a perfect 10. This jewelry box is perfection to me. I love the color I picked. You can choose from pink, grey, white or porcelain blue {like I did.} Currently, the white color is on sale. The material is great quality. The embossed bonded leather is very sturdy. Simply wipe the box with a soft, dry cloth if you happen to spill anything on it. There was no foul smell when it arrived in the mail. The size is perfect for me, as you can see, I still have a lot of space left for so much more jewelry. I really enjoy having 2 levels in my jewelry box. I love the square shape. I wouldn't want it round, oval or anything else. The hardware, meaning the lock, also works great. I haven't had any issues with it. This box keeps all of my jewelry so nicely organized. I have my studs, rings and gold pieces at the top, my longer earrings beneath, and the rest or my bracelets, necklaces and watches on the second level. If you are looking for a new jewelry box, look no farther, this is the one! I cannot recommend this box enough. Pottery Barn really put their time and energy into this piece.

Xoxo,

Chey
