Hi everyone, I have a little different review on the blog today. Today, I am giving an honest review of the iconic Taylor Swift cardigan that she dropped on her merchandise website for the Folklore album. This is the one piece I knew I had to have from her website. The song is amazing, and I loved the sweater on her, so I knew I had to have it. I am a cardigan girl. All winter long I am always so cold, so I always wear a lot of layering pieces..
When the package came in the mail, there was tons of star confetti that fell out of it. I thought that was really cute. When I took the cardigan out of the package, I just loved the feel. I tried it on immediately. Here is the details below:
Material
It is made from 50% acrylic yarn and 50% polyester.
Detail
Cream cable knit cardigan with black matte buttons, dark gray trim, light gray star embroidery on both arms and light gray album title patch on the left chest with dark grey font.
Sizing
There is two size options. A XS/S & M/L.
My Experience
Alright, so my cardigan had a really strong odor that came with it. I know that can be from the thick material, but it had such a strong stench to it. First I put it in the dryer with dryer sheets then I left it outside for a little bit. I placed it next to a scented candle, and then I washed it and left it to air dry. After all of that, the smell still did not come out. Not until I started wearing it around to work and school did I notice the smell was starting to come out. I do not know if that is a regular thing for Taylor Swift's merch, as this was my first purchase from her store. Also, I did buy a M/L because I wanted it oversized, so I could put other layering pieces under it. Little did I know, that the M/L is more like a L/XL. It is really big on me. When I purchase shirts, I always get a size Small because I have a small waist/ chest. I recommend staying true to your size. Do not size up because then it will be big on you. I love the material. It is so soft and cozy, and it keeps me very warm during the cold days. I love pairing it with a solid black skirt and bandeau because the cardigan is such a stand alone piece, I do not want any other patterns mixing with it.
