Hi everyone, happy Monday! Today on the blog, I am back at it reviewing Derma E again. This time, their Vitamin C Collection. Shout out to Derma E for sponsoring another post. I was so excited to review this line because I have heard such amazing things about it. Vitamin C Daily Cleansing Paste
Just like in my last post, I wanna start off by saying, that all Derma E products are 100% Vegan, GMO- Free, Cruelty free, free of parabens, sulfates, petrolatum, mineral oils, phthalates and sodium lauryl sulfates. This is very important to me, as I have said in my makeup bag post. I want a skincare product that is not only good for me, but good for the environment, good for animals, etc. This product is a cleanser, and when I use a cleanser I always use one in the morning. You can use this at night as well, but personally will use in the morning after the shower. When applying, wet your face with warm water, apply a nickel size amount to your face, lather around, leave on for 2-3 minutes then wash off with cold water. This cleanser has a nice and clean, citrus smell. Not too strong, but still noticeable. The two main ingredients are Golden Turmeric and Ancient Rice. After using this cleansing paste a few times I could tell a difference in not only the smoothness of the skin, but also the shine. You can also use this as a facial mask as well. I would just leave it on for 4-5 minutes instead.
Vitamin C Concentrated Serum
Now that you have washed your Cleansing Paste off, you can apply the Vitamin C Concentrated Serum. This fast-absorbing, high-potency serum penetrates deeply to deliver antioxidant protection and essential hydration. Simply apply onto your clean face and neck. Very light scent. This is a great combination product with the next product I will be talking about. They really go hand-in-hand.
Vitamin C Renewing Moisturizer
Now that you have your serum on, the Renewing Moisturizer goes on. Never put the serum on after the moisturizer because the serum should always go on your skin first for the best results. If you put the serum on after, it will hinder absorption. Simply, apply a small amount of the Renewing Moisturizer on top of the Concentrated Serum. Do not wash anything off, it will soak into your skin. I recommend putting both of these on before you put any makeup on because both of these products really work their magic under makeup. After using both of these products together my face was less greasy from the makeup I wear. I also had a drastic decline in breakouts because the Serum & Moisturizer made my skin much less oily. The moisturizer has a clean, faint scent just like the Serum, which is really great in my opinion. I do not want these types of products to have a strong odor that I can smell all day long while wearing them.
Vitamin C Micellar Cleansing Water
With this product I am going to be short and sweet. This product is to be used when you are taking your makeup off at the end of the day. Simply apply the Cleansing Water to a cotton ball or tissue and sweep gently across your face, lips, eyes or neck. This will remove all of your makeup, oil and grease on you face. It removed my makeup, and there is no scent in this product either.
Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citrus Facial Peel
After you have removed all of your makeup for the night, it is time for some self-care relaxation. This facial peel is perfect to use after a long day at school or work. It comes with a little mini spoon too, so you do not have to even worry about touching the facial peel with your greasy or oily fingers. Our hands get so dirty through out the day, so I really like how Derma E includes the spoon in the bottle. Take the spoon and apply a thin layer of the peel to your face and neck. Leave on for 3-5 minutes. Afterwards, remove the peel with the mini spoon while massaging your skin. The peel does not harden, so you do not have to worry about it being tricky to remove with the spoon. Rinse with cool water to neutralize the peel. You may feel a slight tingling too, completely normal. It smells like citrus to me. Very relaxing and left my face very smooth afterwards. Highly recommend trying this product.
Vitamin C Bright Eyes Hydro Gel Patches
The last product I have to share is the gel eye patches. After you rinse off the facial peel, place these patches onto your clean, dry skin right below your under eye area. Leave on for 10 minutes. Throw them away after one use, and pat the remaining serum into the skin. Brightens, hydrates and improves the appearance of the under-eye area by intensely moisturizing with antioxidants and phytonutrients. Will make your eyes look less puffy and well-rested. My favorite product from the whole collection! A must-have, trust me!
