5 Tips On How To Grow Your Hair Longer {Naturally}

Hi Friends!

I constantly get sooo many compliments and questions about my hair. The number one question I get is, "How do you get your hair to grow so long?" Well, today I am sharing my tips and tricks that help my hair grow long naturally and organically!

1. Do Not Wash Your Hair Everyday

It is NOT good to wash your hair everyday. I did not know this tip for the longest time. I thought it was healthier to wash your hair everyday, but it is actually horrible. This will strip your hair of all of the natural oils it already has, and will make your hair greasier. I wash my hair every other day because it is so naturally thick. When I get my hair done {a Malibu} I will go a week without washing it.

2. Try Not To Use Heat

Blow drying, curling, straightening, etc. can cause tons of damage to your hair because you are literally drying it out. I would always curl and crimp my hair in high school, now I hardly ever. I always let my hair air dry as well. I never blow dry it. I really do not like the feeling of hot heated air on my head, lol.

3. Wear Your Hair Back Here & There

Leaving my hair back in a nice loose ponytail or French braids always helps my hair restore its thickness. I am also less likely to touch it though out the day because it is up and away from my face, which makes it less greasy. Personally, whenever I leave my hair up for the day and put my hair up again the next day I notice it is more luscious and healthier.

4. Skip The Hair Dye

Using hair dye on your hair can cause major damage. Hair dye can dry out your hair, and make it become brittle and break especially if you overdo it with the chemical process. I do not dye or color my hair at all. I love my natural sandy blonde hair. If you are looking for drastic growth with your hair I would think twice about coloring it.

5. Rinse With Cool Water

When you are in the shower applying shampoo and conditioner, always rinse with cool water. A girl I once worked with told me this tip, and it really does help a lot with hair growth. Hot water can cause your scalp to get dry and itchy. It also can cause damage to your hair too. Rinsing with cool water will close up the cuticles and strengthen your hair follicles.

Those are my 5 tips on how you can help grow out your hair! I hope you found this post helpful, and maybe give some of my tips a try.
